Using Locally-Sourced Stone for a Vermont Project

One of the joys of living in New England is the beauty it offers in every season. Embracing the winter weather and the beauty of the mountains in winter is, for many, the best way to live here. But those same mountains in warmer weather invite hiking and picnics. In the autumn, the mountains are ablaze with the colors of changing leaves. Recently, we completed a project in Vermont and can attest to its beauty.

We had the opportunity to bring some new beauty into this beautiful place. Merrimack Stone and Cabinets provided and installed the countertops and other stone surfaces in a new 24-unit condo community being built near Stowe, Vermont. These condos are beautiful year-round homes for their residents.

Fitting with the setting, locally-sourced stones were chosen for the units. Danby Marble from Vermont in Montclair and Lake Placid Blue granite from upstate New York were chosen as surfaces throughout the kitchens and bathrooms in these homes, along with Pennsylvania Bluestone for the fireplace surrounds. We visited the quarries to choose the slabs we fabricated for the project.

We were delighted to work on these homes and are proud of our team’s work in completing these beautiful residences.

Our showroom offers a large selection of natural stones sourced from around the US and around the world as well as quartz and porcelain. If you are planning a new kitchen or a renovation, browse photos of some of our other projects in our Gallery.

Our work is our passion and we love making homeowners happy with beautiful stone and cabinets for their projects. Visit our showroom and see the many choices in person. We’d love to see you.
